Part of my process is to collect certain types of stones and rocks from our local landscape which I can then, through a slow and meditative process, turn into a fine pigment that can be blended into the paint that I use in my paintings. I adore the connection between landscape and painting that this brings to my work, grounding each piece to its inspiration.
